Fallen Wishes

Copper moons sinking beneath glass

clouded water holds their gleam,

smudged by green and the slow crawl

of lichen where stone meets stream.

A child’s small voice, barely caught—

a secret dropped on trembling lips,

a whispered want, then running feet,

ripples widening, soft eclipse.

These coins, stacked like quiet prayers,

weigh down the hollow basin’s hush,

a gravity no one commands,

a silence shaped from one small crush.
