Morning Rituals

Each morning, that grinder starts its grind,

a ritual sound, a wake-up call, a bind.

With the scent of beans, rich and warm,

my neighbor brews life, a brewing storm.

It pierces the silence like a sharp, bold note,

a cued symphony, the city’s remote.

I lie awake, in sheets of gray,

while their coffee ritual brews the day.
