Dreams That Weigh Us Down

Last night, the dream unfurled like a sigh,

a weight on my chest, a soft lullaby.

Memories linger, like shadows in light,

a tapestry woven with threads of the night.

I wake from the grief that haunts my mind,

a sorrowful echo, of what I can’t find.

No monsters or horrors, just whispers of loss,

as I drag through the morning, its burden, its gloss.
