Unwelcome Guests

This morning I found it, creeping and sly,

a patch in the corner, it’s breeding, oh my.

The dampness, it settles like ghosts in the air,

reminders of neglect, like the weight of despair.

The chill of the tiles, cold against my skin,

tells tales of what hides where light hasn’t been.

In corners and crevices, it quietly lurks,

a reflection of chaos where routine just jerks.
