Heaviness of Life

I picked up the towel, draped low on the floor,

its weight hung heavy, like memories galore.

Drenched through my fingers, it drags on my skin,

a moment's confusion, where does it begin?

Stepping out, water’s grip, relentless and tight,

this towel's a burden, absorbs day and night.

Each droplet a worry, a soft-hearted sigh,

feels like the weight of the world passing by.
