Lost and Found

In that darkened crevice, a sock drifts alone,

a forgotten reminder of spaces overthrown.

Dust bunnies whisper secrets, a blanket of night,

trapped in this gap, things scurry from sight.

Pulling the mattress, the struggle is real,

what else lies hidden beneath what we feel?

Lost is a treasure, it seems at the start,

but shadows between hold the map to the heart.
