Lines of Division

On the field, chalk dust hangs in the air,

a line drawn so fine, a boundary laid bare.

The players take rest, as life waits in pause,

where dreams clash and tussle, yet all must adhere to laws.

What’s marked can be crossed, yet the weight feels the same,

between hope and defeat in this intricate game.

I stood by the edge, watching laughter and strife,

how lines define moments that shape every life.
