Unseen Posture

In the quiet, I settle, my body unfolds,

slouched on the couch with the light spilling in,

curtains rustle softly, their secrets retold,

a shadowed reflection of what hides within.

I curl like a question, arms crossed and tight,

as if shielding my heart from the world’s gaze,

unguarded, invisible, in the fading light,

a moment unmeasured in this silent maze.

There’s beauty in stillness, though no one can see,

the thoughts untangle as breaths come and go,

I sit in the rawness, just me and the plea,

to be known for the whispers and all that I know.
