Forgotten Joys

An old photo surfaces, laughter caught in time,
I gaze at the child, in pure joy so prime.
The echo of glee flickers just out of reach,
while my heart feels the warmth, but the memory's a breach.
My body recalls how it felt to be free,
a spring of delight, yet my mind cannot see.
Questions hover like ghosts, haunting the frame,
what happiness flourished that I cannot name.
