Every Second Counts

Ticking away as I scramble to breathe,
the timer demands, like a boss at the door,
morning’s chaos wrapped in time’s web, I weave,
moments get snatched from the floor to the core.
Red digits flash, pressing me into the fray,
I rush through the motions, my heart racing on,
it’s counting my worth in this frantic ballet,
slicing through seconds before they are gone.
Each ring a reminder of what’s left behind,
how life clicks on, relentless and bold,
where stillness feels distant, I chase what’s unkind,
each second I lose, a story retold.
