They squabble a quarrel rising

They squabble, a quarrel rising,

a heated exchange I never asked to join.

The final word, sharp as glass,

slices through me—

my own frailty exposed,

a reflection caught in a cracked mirror,

what can I learn from loss?

Fragility speaks louder than fury,

a lesson in the quiet aftermath,

where silence carries weight,

where understanding flickers dim.
