Little Details

A lunch break distraction, amidst chatter and bites,

I saw it there lingering, a glimmer of light.

An eyelash perched soft on his cheek, still and shy,

while he spoke of the future, as time floated by.

I wanted to reach out, to brush it away,

but the moment slipped past, like clouds on a gray day.

How small the details can anchor our hearts,

a simple reminder that we all play our parts.

His laughter floated lightly, the world felt so clear,

that eyelash a pause, yet it held all the fear.

For every small moment, a universe waits,

while life spins around us, entwining our fates.
