Weighted Comfort

Emerging from water, the world slows to a hum,

a towel wrapped around me, heavy and thick,

reminding of moments that feel far from fun,

a cradling comfort, an odd, soothing trick.

Drenched fabric clings tight like memories worn,

absorbing the hours, both joy and despair,

yet here in this weight, a new path is born,

like life’s gentle burdens, I'm learning to bear.
