Fractured Signals

A sudden twist, pain shoots through my frame,

while running for trains, no one’s to blame.

The platform greets me, a cold, cracked land,

where fleeting choices slipped through my hand.

I sit, the jolt lingers, like a thief in the night,

a reminder that pushing can hide the plight.

Ignored signals ring like a bell in my chest,

and still I think I can outrun the rest.

Time stretches, and here on the ground, I remain,

tangled in thoughts, grappling with pain.

Will I listen next time, this truth I must face,

or push through the whispers, lose my own trace?
