Signal Lost

Caught in the hum of the bus, I glance down—

but the screen is dark, a void mocking my hopes,

20% erased to nothing,

a lifeline severed right before the plunge.

Heartbeats quicken as I sit, anxiety coiled,

what can I say when nothing responds?

The world outside blurs—

those fleeting moments fade with every jolt,

I was counting on it,

the ping that could change it all.
