Fragile Connections

Staring at the ceiling, it struck me—

we spin our lives like threads in the corner, fragile, glistening,

a web catching morning light, dew like diamonds hung there,

life suspended, waiting for the breeze to whisper,

for the slight weight of a thought to break and shatter.

Each strand, intricate, telling stories of who we are,

our joys and fears weave together,

and yet, one nudge, one shift, and the whole thing could crumble,

yet here we hang, holding on, afraid to let go.
