Loss of Ground

Waiting for the train, the world starts to spin,

everything blurs, where does balance begin?

Concrete unsteady, it shatters my thought,

a fleeting sensation of comfort, now caught.

My feet feel so heavy, like anchors of doubt,

that tremble, that pull, when the rush swirls about.

A dizzying height where I’m tethered to fear,

a moment of vertigo whispers I’m near.
