Breathless Moments

I gasp as the bus door closes, tight,

a fogged-up window hides the city’s fight.

Air swirls heavy with unspoken weight,

my chest constricts, anxiety meets fate.

Rushing through sidewalks, hearts beating loud,

chasing a moment in a restless crowd.

My lungs fill with memories, smoke, and doubt,

where hope flutters, lost amidst the shout.

What lives inside me is tangled and raw,

each breath a reflection, a riddle, a flaw.
