Before the Light

Caught in the dim, the shadows dance near,

eager whispers pulse, anticipation, a fear.

The room swells with silence, a heartbeat's embrace,

the smell of warm popcorn drifts in this place.

Faces flicker and glow with a spark of delight,

in this cocoon of darkness, everything feels right.

A moment suspended, just before the thrill,

breath held tight, as the air starts to chill.

The screen holds its breath, a universe awake,

tales of adventure, mysteries at stake.

And here in the dark, a promise unfolds,

a journey begun, where dreams are retold.
