Shadows in the Dark

In the back row, the shadows creep,

the world outside, a memory I keep.

Air thick with popcorn, a smell like hope,

as the room swallows every thought, every scope.

The light flickers, a beacon of change,

reminding me how silence can feel so strange.

In this darkness, buried worries arise,

each unspoken fear, each whisper in sighs.

I’m alone in this cocoon, where tension swells,

a heartbeat syncs with the stories it tells.

Just me and the murmur, my past on display,

as the screen lights up, night swallows the day.
