The Layers of Time

In the corner of the room, the paper curls slow,
each layer a story I used to know.
Faded blues bleed through cracks in the wall,
as the home whispers secrets I can't recall.
Years like dust settled thick on the floor,
and memories flicker, forever unsure.
I stand in the remnants of moments lost,
watching the colors peel back at their cost.
