The call came abruptly a bitter surprise

The call came abruptly, a bitter surprise,

my world shook as I heard those cold lies.

"We're letting you go," the words like a knife,

a lesson unwrapped, reshaping my life.

The desk was cluttered with hopes, now in shreds,

forgotten dreams scattered, beneath what was said.

Yet in the wreckage, I found solace and peace,

in the void of the loss, the tightening release.

What once felt like failure now gives way to grace,

a chance to rediscover my own little space.

Sometimes you’re fired to ignite a new spark,

lighting a path through the shadows and dark.
