Broken But Whole

I dropped the vase, and it shattered with grace,

clean lines dividing, a mirror of space.

As I sweep up the pieces, so fragile yet bright,

I remember the times that felt whole in their light.

Each shard reflects stories that never will fade,

as I gather the remnants, a bittersweet trade.

So easily broken, yet still they hold worth,

beauty in fractures, the scars of our birth.
