Baggage of Choices

A battered suitcase, worn from the trip,

waiting in corners, memories it grips.

Half-full of dreams, half-full of despair,

a crossroad of life that hangs in the air.

Inside lie the echoes of laughter and tears,

each zipper a burden, each crease holds my fears.

Packing is heavy, a farewell to stay,

I weigh the contents, deciding my way.
