I stood on the beach grains slipping away

I stood on the beach, grains slipping away,

like moments of laughter that fade with the day.

A child built a castle, so proud in their stance,

while parents with cameras captured the dance.

But the tide kept on pulling, erasing each line,

as water washed whispers of childhood divine.

I felt time's embrace, shifting like the sand,

a reminder that joy is not always planned.
