Vinyl Memories

In a dusty old shop, I found it today,

a record forgotten, tucked safely away.

Its cover was frayed, the corners all bent,

a relic of lives that once twisted and spent.

I placed the needle, a crackle, a sigh,

it spun out a story of days gone awry.

The sounds wrapped around me, like whispers in dark,

each scratch in the vinyl ignited a spark.

These echoes of life feel raw and uncut,

conversations unspoken, like doors that we shut.

It takes me to places I never have been,

where the pulse of the music slips under my skin.
