I picked it up today, dust swirling wide,
a phone book forgotten, a relic I hide.
Pages yellowed and curled, names fading fast,
a ghost of connections from decades long past.
A stranger at the café laughed at its worth,
while I sifted through memories, laughter gave birth.
Each number a story, each name a lost song,
somewhere beneath all this weight, I belong.
