Unzipping a Memory

The glint of metal against pale fabric,
a sound that clings to the quiet night,
unzipped, a secret, once so graphic,
I feel it echo, haunt without fright.
The images flicker, faces collide,
as a zipper seals fate, grimly true.
In my restless hours, it’ll abide,
a sound, a moment—lost, yet renewed.
