Connections Lost

Flipping through pages, dust motes in the light,

a name pops out, like a ghost in the night.

Connections that fade, in time’s gentle choke,

memories linger, in silence, they poke.

Each yellowed leaf whispers stories we shared,

a mix of the past and the moments we dared.

Lost in the echoes, but still they can bind,

a phone book of names, where hearts intertwined.
