The Regret of Knowing

Late at night, I searched for relief,

a dull ache in my side turned to creeping grief.

I googled and scrolled through every strange plight,

each symptom I read left me cold in the night.

The glow of my screen, a cursed bright light,

sent me spiraling into a pit of pure fright.

I’m fine, I swear, but doubt claws at my skin,

a rabbit hole deep where anxiety spins.
