A snapshot from years ago, what was I thinking?

a lawnmower mishap, oh, the laughter still stinging.

A wild tuft of hair, like a creature untamed,

the mirror just shrugged, I felt so ashamed.

I posed for the picture, a smile on my face,

while inside I was cringing, wanting my grace.

Yet in this old photo, I find a small cheer,

a badge of bad choices, I’m still standing here.
