Laundromats

In the laundromat's hum, life cycles unfold,

whirls of fabric, stories in each fold.

Watching a woman, her hands deft and sure,

taking her time, every wrinkle a cure.

The scent of softener hangs thick in the air,

a nostalgia that binds us, a comfort laid bare.

While my clothes spin around, in this ritual of care,

I’m lost in the fabric of moments we share.
