Trust

Under streetlight glow, shadows twist and shift,

my sister’s voice cracked, a desperate gift.

A flat tire’s whisper pulled me from sleep,

and I felt the weight of trust running deep.

As I held the wrench, the world felt so wide,

her faith in my hands, I could no longer hide.

In that moment, a bond built on need,

a tether of love that planted a seed.
