Frigid Sensation

A chill invades my collarbone,

exposed to the wind’s cruel bite,

as winter tugs at my skin,

a shiver runs down my spine,

reminders of warmth slipping away.

I stepped outside, no proper coat,

and felt the air cut deep,

a fragile vulnerability,

a stark contrast to warmth

that lingers just beyond reach.
