Lessons from a Lost Fight

At that café corner, our words like a knife,

a battle of silence, cutting deep into life.

Chipped mugs on the table, a remnant of pride,

we claimed it was nothing, but the truth, it denied.

You said that I was stubborn, and maybe you were right,

pride wrapped in anger, both too scared to fight.

But lessons emerge from the ashes we leave,

and sometimes the hardest is learning to grieve.
