The Weight of Being

Here I sit beneath the stars,

a weight pressing on my chest,

my friend’s question lingers,

‘What are you doing here?’

In the vastness, I feel small,

a flicker in the universe,

lost for words, yet still breathing,

wondering what it means

to simply exist at all.
