The worst time to lose power

That black screen swallowed the last

flicker of hope—a sudden death

in the palm of my hand.

Numbers faded to nothing.

I stared at the empty glass,

reflected back a face too late,

a call vanished before it started,

the charge dropped like a stone

into silence.

No buzz, no light, just cold dark—

a final no,

the moment I needed it most,

lost in a dead battery’s hold.
