Boxes halfpacked

Boxes half-packed

with porcelain cracked,

tea cups stacked like quiet guests

at a party long ended.

Faded photographs

lean against walls

that held too many silences,

waiting for voices

that won't come back.

The dust settles

on memories unpacked,

a house breathing slow

in the absence of its soul.
