Stubborn glue

Coffee spilled, cracked glass wept,

sticky lines where dust has slept.

Grimy glue, a hardened smear,

holding fractures too close, too near.

I scrub, I scrape, but it stays stuck,

a stubborn paste that mocks my luck.

Pieces bound in reluctant grace,

a trap of mess I can’t erase.

This glue won’t break, won’t say goodbye,

like old regrets that cling and lie.

Rough and gritty, holding tight,

a quiet war beneath the light.
