Forgotten Places

I found an old key, tarnished and slight,

climbing a creaking ladder, to face dusty light.

Toys from my childhood, like whispers in time,

a world I ignored, hiding treasures that climb.

Cobwebs entangle my heart and my mind,

memories linger, too heavy to bind.

This attic calls softly, like ghosts on the stair,

in dust motes that dance, I find pieces to share.
