Forgotten Heroes

An action figure, dust-caked and old,

forever frozen in a pose once bold.

Trapped behind wood, a secret untold,

a relic of battles, of dreams I enrolled.

It lies in the shadows, a hero in strife,

remnants of laughter, a slice of my life.

I reach for the past, where innocence thrives,

a ghost in the corner, where memory drives.

The light can’t quite reach it, the dust settled thick,

a reminder of days when I played my last trick.

But here in the dark, a battle still waits,

a champion lost to the weight of fate.
