Reminder of Stagnation

The list hangs there, corners curling with time,

reminders of dreams, once vivid, now grime.

A smudge of last summer, faded in hue,

weekly ambitions, now whispers untrue.

My friend’s casual question ignites a small spark,

'What have you done?' brings a feeling so stark.

The paper is worn, much like my intent,

as I stare at those goals that I never did pen.
