The Cost of Blind Faith

You defended a notion that made my heart ache,

like choosing a road with a sharp, reckless break.

Your voice rose like thunder, the passion so bold,

yet I sat there in silence, my truth left untold.

A sandwich untouched, left out on the table,

your arguments swirled like a fable ungrappled.

How loyalty falters when reason’s at bay,

as I ponder the price of believing your way.
