Glances Behind

Traffic halts, the world bends like a snapshot,

faces slide by, reflections of stories untold.

Each glance in the mirror—a memory, a thought,

reminding me of paths once walked, now old.

A honk pulls me back, a jolt in my chest,

a reminder of chances I might have missed.

What’s left in the rearview feels heavy, unblessed,

each moment a piece of a puzzle dismissed.
