Unnoticed Roots

I step outside, and the world passes me by,

the heads downturned, beneath a dim sky.

In this city that churns, I’m lost in the churn,

each sidewalk a witness to lessons I learn.

Graffiti on bricks tells stories untold,

while I fade into shadows, too weary, too old.

Here, in the echoes of footsteps I trace,

I’m growing like weeds in a neglected space.
