I watched light filter through a glass

I watched light filter through a glass,

everything inside it shimmered and glowed,

a moment of clarity, simple yet crass,

where beauty's a dance on a fragile road.

The way sunlight bends, revealing the truth,

as colors converge into patterns divine,

yet I feel how they fade, like the blush of my youth,

a fleeting reflection in a world that’s malign.

I hold onto this light, though it slips through my hands,

a reminder of moments too quick to recall,

how in transparent dreams, our hopes make their stands,

but like this glass prism, they fracture and fall.
