In a dim glow my name flickers a ghost on a screen

In a dim glow, my name flickers, a ghost on a screen,

a Facebook post stirs dust from forgotten years.

Once the bright spark, the promise I had been,

but the mirror shows only shadows, wrapped in fears.

I remember science fairs, posters taped bright,

a version of me they recall with a fond, distant cheer.

Yet here, I’m a relic, a whisper in the night,

a candle burned down, its light no longer clear.
