Roots of Change

At the gathering, smoke curled like memories,

friends laughing, voices intertwine and weave,

how hemp has made its mark, histories,

roots embedded deep, secrets we believe.

A plant once whispered, now screams its worth,

a revolution in fibers, a soft embrace,

I recall when it offered my spirit rebirth,

freedom found in every sacred trace.

In the haze, past and present collide,

woven into tales of struggle and gain,

though the fog feels comforting, a guide,

it lingers like questions that still cause pain.
