The Photo I Wish I Could Hide

Caught mid-sneeze,

eyes half-lid, mouth a crooked mess,

a blurred ghost at the edge of a noisy party.

Limbs tangled like bad decisions,

laughter caught in a jagged freeze.

I see the wrinkle, the careless breath,

the moment I forgot to be anything

but messy and human,

a snapshot of all the things I try to hide.
