Afterthoughts in Digital Silence

The text arrived dim, long after the storm,

reminding me still of the days long gone warm.

Words linger like ghosts, unwrapped and unspun,

a screen holding time, but the damage is done.

I left too much unsaid, we both wore the scars,

a fading of friendship, the echoes of stars.

Time drifts away, takes its toll on the heart,

but the words that were missed still refuse to depart.
